WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
We are seeking an engaged and collaborative Production Supervisor to support our 24/7 unionized manufacturing facility. This role provides on‑shift leadership with a strong focus on safety, quality, and production performance. The successful candidate will ensure consistent supervisory coverage, lead employee development across the shift, and help drive the standards that keep our plant running safely and efficiently.
This position is also the primary point of contact during off‑hours and weekends when plant management is not onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Coverage & Shift Oversight
- Provide on‑shift leadership to ensure safe, high‑quality, and efficient production operations.
- Backfill supervisor absences to maintain continuous coverage.
- Lead shift handovers, daily huddles, and communication between day and night crews with a focus on safety and production priorities.
- Escalate safety, quality, or operational concerns as required.
Employee Training & Development
- Lead training, coaching, and skills development for all employees working on the shift.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date skills matrix and ensure accurate, timely training documentation.
- Conduct competency evaluations and support performance improvement plans.
- Reinforce standardized work practices, safety expectations, and quality procedures across all roles and crews.
Safety, Quality & Operational Excellence
- Champion a strong safety culture through coaching, observation, and corrective action.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support production efficiency by coordinating with Quality, Maintenance, and other functions to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Accurately record production information in PPMS and other plant systems to support data‑driven decision‑making.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or leadership roles.
- Experience working with or leading in a unionized environment is required.
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn plant systems (e.g., PPMS).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools (Kaizen, 5S) is an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety leadership, quality compliance, and production excellence.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates, the base pay range for this position is $64,000 to $80,000 per year. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
