Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is currently undergoing an important transformation toward greater structure, operational discipline, and performance.
\n
To support this evolution, the organization is looking for a Production Supervisor who can take ownership on the shop floor, bring structure to operations, and develop the team.
\n
This is not a role for someone who simply “keeps production running.”
\n
We are looking for a hands-on leader who can coach, structure, and elevate the team.
\n
Your role
\n
You will play a dual role:
\n
- stabilizing day-to-day operations
- implementing more structured and performance-driven practices
\n
You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support operational excellence and business growth.
\n
Responsibilities
\n
Operations management
\n
- Oversee daily production activities and ensure targets are met in terms of output, quality, and timelines
- Manage scheduling, attendance, and workforce performance
- Supervise a team of approximately 30 employees (including 4 team leads)
\n
Team leadership and development
\n
- Coach and support team leads (a critical part of the role)
- Develop technical employees into stronger leaders
- Manage performance, including follow-ups and corrective actions when required
\n
Structure and organization
\n
- Implement simple and effective KPIs
- Establish management routines (meetings, follow-ups, priorities)
- Bring structure, consistency, and predictability to operations
\n
Continuous improvement
\n
- Identify operational gaps and implement practical solutions
- Support the implementation of Lean practices (5S, root cause analysis, etc.)
- Contribute to process standardization and improvement initiatives
\n
Health and safety
\n
- Promote and enforce health and safety best practices
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions
- Support a strong safety culture on the floor
\n
Your profile
\n
You recognize yourself in the following:
\n
- You are a hands-on leader with strong credibility on the floor
- You are comfortable coaching, structuring, and leading a team
- You are confident managing performance and addressing issues when needed
- You are organized, autonomous, and solution-oriented
- You have experience in an environment where KPIs, processes, and standards are in place
- You are motivated by making a real impact in a growing organization
\n
Education and experience
\n
- Relevant education in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a structured environment (Lean, KPIs, continuous improvement), considered a strong asset
- Ability to communicate in French and English, required to communicate with teams and stakeholders
\n
Working conditions
\n
- Salary: between $80,000 and $85,000, depending on experience
- Schedule: day shift (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), with flexibility based on operational needs
- 100% on-site role (manufacturing environment)
- Exposure to production setting (noise, equipment, shop floor activity)
- Vacation: flexible based on experience
\n
Why consider this opportunity
\n
- Key role in a company undergoing transformation
- Direct impact on operations and team development
- Accessible, collaborative, and low-bureaucracy setting
- Opportunity to build and improve, not just maintain
- Growth potential within the organization
In summary\n
This role is ideal for a Production Supervisor who wants to go beyond daily operations and play an active role in structuring processes, developing people, and contributing to the evolution of the organization.
