Assembly Technician
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate successfully performs a variety of assembly operations. Follows work procedures for components installation, wiring, hand soldering, cable harnessing and testing.
The candidate shall be assigned to perform the following tasks:
Building precision electro-optical assemblies in accordance with the assembly instructions
Performing tests on sub-assemblies and finished products
Assembling and soldering wires, cables, harnesses
Occasional work with drill press, rotary tool, milling machine and other hand and stand tools
The successful candidate possesses a sound combination of the following and other relevant skills:
Basic knowledge in low power electronics (resistors, capacitors, Ohm’s and Kirchhoff's laws)
Reading electronic schematics
Soldering of low power circuits - SMT and PTH
Measuring electrical current, voltage, resistance, etc.
Measuring common dimensions (thickness, diameter of hole and shaft)
Reading mechanical drawings
Confidence with basic metal/plastic processing (cutting, drilling, threading)
Computer literacy (MS Office, email, etc.)
Candidate’s must-haves:
Excellent manual dexterity
Excellent analytical and critical thinking
A motivated individual with attention to detail
Eager for continuous learning and self-improvement
Excellent, ethically bound team player
Excellent attendance
Experience with precision assembly work in the following fields would be considered an asset:
Fine mechanics

What will be expected:
To proactively ensure on-time orders completion
To proactively ensure top production quality
To master the principles of operation of all products in order to efficiently engage in assembling, and testing
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
