We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Manager for our Ayr, Ontario location.
\n
HOURS: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n
- Lead and manage maintenance tradespeople and facilities team members across three shifts, including performance management, development, hiring and employee relations.
- Plan and implement plant improvements, expansions, and equipment upgrades to improve quality, capacity, reliability and efficiency.
- Oversee plant equipment performance to reduce unplanned downtime and improve throughput through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track and analyze key maintenance performance indicators, including assed utilization, maintenance costs, PM compliance and schedule compliance.
- Manage maintenance inventory, spare parts, tooling and equipment history, including ERP system setup and data integrity.
- Ensure timely completion, documentation, and tracking of maintenance continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports, analyze operational data, and recommend solutions to improve plant performance and resolve maintenance-related issues.
- Support new equipment design reviews with Tooling Centre and Program Managers to ensure robust, durable designs that meet capacity and quality requirements.
- Ensure effective resource planning and availability to support operational and maintenance demands.
- Maintain and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a management representative for the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015)
- Establish, maintain and integrate EMS policies, procedures, and training, and understand aspects and impacts of environmental management, their roles and responsibilities, and consequences of not following the EMS.
- Identify, assess and mitigate environmental risks while driving continuous improvement using the cross-functional PDCA model.
- Monitor EMS performance, report results and improvement opportunities to senior management, and support internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and alignment of EMS objectives with business priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
\n
- Completion of relevant technical post-secondary education is required
- Licensed Trade (Millwright, Tool and Die Maker or Machine Tool Builder and Integrator) considered an asset.
- 5-10 years of progressive maintenance experience in an automotive or fast-paced, high volume manufacturing setting.
- Minimum 5 years of related management or supervisory experience.
- Strong technical expertise in pneumatic, hydraulic, CNC and dedicated bending systems, and PLC’s; robotics and automation experience is an asset.
- Experience with tube forming and bending tooling is preferred.
- Proven experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs, work order systems, and maintenance inventory and safety stock management.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to mechanical systems and metal forming operations.
- Solid understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the Workplace Safety Insurance Act (WSIA), industry quality management standards (IATF 16949), and environmental management systems (ISO 14001).
- Strong communication skills, sound quality standards, strategic thinking ability, and demonstrated commitment to health and safety.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Epicor).
- Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, including GD&T;
- Availability to support after-hours on an as needed basis.
