POSITION SUMMARY
NAMCO has an immediate opening for a full-time Manual Lathe Machinist – Experienced.
We are looking for a highly skilled machinist with strong hands-on experience in manual turning. The ideal candidate brings years of practical knowledge and is comfortable working on large, medium, and small components, maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
This role requires independence, strong judgment, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and production teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operate manual lathes to machine precision components
· Perform setups, including tooling selection and workholding
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
· Machine parts to tight tolerances with high accuracy
· Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds
· Work with a variety of materials and component sizes
· Inspect and measure parts using precision tools (micrometers, verniers, etc.)
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
· Collaborate with machining and engineering teams to optimize processes
· Follow all company safety and quality procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 5+ years of manual lathe machining experience preferred
· Strong understanding of machining principles, fits, and tolerances
· Proven ability to work on large, medium, and small components
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings independently
· Experience with heavy machining is a strong asset
· High attention to detail and quality workmanship
· Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working with minimal supervision
· Experience in a job shop or custom machining environment is preferred
INTERVIEW PROCESS
- Shortlisted candidates will complete a hands-on machining test during the interview to demonstrate skill level and performance
SCHEDULE
- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts (may vary based on workload)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Hourly Pay: $30.00 – $40.00+ per hour (negotiable based on experience and performance)
