Our Laboratory Services Department uses state of the art equipment, technology and processes to collect and test clinical specimens in order to obtain information about the health of our patients so that our inter-professional teams can diagnose, treat and prevent disease.
Our Medical Laboratory Technologists assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by performing tests on tissue, blood and other body fluids. Hourly Rate: $36.84 - 50.24
Position Responsibilities:
- Routine & Stat Laboratory Testing in Core Laboratory- Chemistry, Hematology and Blood bank.
- Duties may include phlebotomy, central processing and other related duties as assigned.
- Can be assigned/trained in all Core Laboratory Disciplines (Chemistry, Bloodbank, Hematology)
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Current registration as General Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
- 3-5 years of recent Clinical Laboratory experience an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively alone or with all team members, including co-workers, physicians and other health care team members.
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
