About the opportunity
A leading insurance organization is looking to hire an experienced actuarial professional to support the growth of its Group Benefits business. This role will act as a key contributor to pricing strategy and work closely with underwriting, product, and sales teams to drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pricing strategy across group life, disability, and health products, including methodology enhancement and assumption setting
- Analyze experience trends (e.g. claims, profitability, lapse, rate guarantees) and provide insights on emerging issues
- Review and enhance experience rating frameworks and governance processes
- Maintain and improve pricing tools and rate calculators to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Provide pricing guidance on discounting, special quotes, and ad hoc requests
- Support reporting and analysis related to profitability and performance metrics
Requirements
- 4+ years of actuarial experience, ideally within Group Benefits / Group Insurance pricing
- Nearly/Newly qualified or FSA (or equivalent) preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (experience with pricing tools / models highly valued)
- Solid analytical mindset with ability to solve complex problems and improve methodologies
- Excellent communication skills
