The program: The Youth Food Network (YFN) works to provide empowerment and education, enriching experiences, and opportunities to youth aged 15 to 30 across the Capital Region to participate in our local food system.

Job Description:
\nAre you an extrovert and proactive person who loves to connect with other youth?\n
As Youth Program Assistant you will work alongside our Youth Program Coordinator and the CRFAIR Team to support the development and delivery of the Youth Food Network programming and engagement initiatives. In this position you will learn and practice working within a collaborative framework while expanding synergies with our partners and communities we serve. You will be encouraged to bring forward and apply your ideas and creativity into the programming and the everyday work.

What the work usually involves:

Discount on food and produce at the South Island FarmHub (run by our sister organization VCFHS)

Anticipated start date: early May, 2026

Wage range: $19.50 to 23 per hour depending on experience
