Required Experience

secondary education and 4 or more years of experience underwriting a variety of commercial property and casualty risks, across Canada, especially large realty portfolios, builders risk policies, and underwriting in manufacturing and hospitality being considered an asset. A Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is considered an asset. If you do not currently possess a Level 1 or 2 General Insurance License, you are willing to obtain such a license, at Millennium’s expense.
A technician : you possess strong market and technical wisdom and can demonstrate confidence in structuring complex property and casualty insurance policies, including those which might involve primary and excess layers, facultative reinsurance, and/or exposure to natural catastrophes.
A broker partner : you can bring established broker relationships to the team and are comfortable developing new partnership opportunities across various lines of business and risk segments.
A collaborator : you can actively collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple teams, including actuarial services, claims, and accounting, to make impactful decisions regarding processes, pricing, and overall portfolio performance.
A mentor : you can provide mentorship to less experienced staff and inspire a culture conducive to high
