first" attitude.ResponsibilitiesMaintain industry leading standards for mining engineering workWorking with limited supervision, develop mine designs based on the information gathered or provided, depending upon the needs of the client and the scope of the project assignedUnderground optimization (using Deswik or similar specialist software) and mine design, life‐of‐mine scheduling and Mineral Reserve estimation using current mine planning and scheduling software packagesEstimation of project capital and operating costs and financial modeling and analysisPreliminary Economic Assessments, scoping, prefeasibility, and feasibility studiesAssessment, due diligence and technical auditing/review of mines and projectsProject managementReport writing and client presentationsSupport business development across the team and wider businessWorking @ SLRWith us, there is no doubt you'll grow your subject‐matter expertise and industry knowledge. $140,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.Full‐time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancementQualificationsPost‐secondary degree in mining, civil, or geotechnical engineeringMinimum of five years' experience at operating mines, with preference given to candidates who have worked in both underground and open pit minesFamiliar with international and public disclosure and reporting codes, including NI 43‐101, JORC, SAMREC, Competent Persons Reports, and Mineral Expert Reports etc.Experience with mine planningExpert user of at least one industry standard optimization, mine design and scheduling software package such as Datamine, Deswik, Vulcan, and Surpac.Registered as a P. Eng (Professional Engineer) in CanadaTravel will be required, including to international destinations.
