Required Experience

helping prepare streets for rehabilitation, repairs, and utility work.
You’ll work on active job sites, coordinating safely around crews and traffic, and completing daily equipment checks and minor upkeep to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. If you hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with Restriction 20 (or equivalent) and have related road construction experience, we encourage you to apply and help keep Victoria’s roads secure and well maintained.
POSITION FUNCTION
Operate an automated milling machine with self

loading conveyor system.
Read and understand engineering grade sheets and utility plans.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Work and operate equipment safely.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Education, Training and Occupational Certification:
Grade 12.
Current and valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence with Restriction 20 endorsement.
Current and valid Traffic Control Person certification. (16 hours)
Current and valid Snow and Ice Control Certification. (12 hours)
Plan Reading. (8 hours)
Experience:
3 years of related experience.
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER:
May be requested to substitute in a more senior position.
