Responsibilities
· Oversee daily operations within the finance and accounting department.
· Direct and coordinate financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting with the executive team.
· Monitor and analyze monthly operating results
· Lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
· Prepare financial analysis to support contract negotiations, product investment decisions, capital planning, and profitability improvement.
· Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion
· Manage and monitor foreign currency trading and related risk exposure.
· Oversee job costing, support profitability analysis, and provide recommendations on product selling costs.
· Prepare compliance reports required by financial institutions and external stakeholders, ensuring timely submission.
· Monitor and manage debt levels, banking relationships, and compliance with lending covenants.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including WCB, GST, PST, CRA, audits, and filings.
· Direct and coordinate debt financing activities and debt service payments with lenders and external agencies.
· Improve and optimize departmental and organizational financial processes, policies, and systems to support operational goals.
· Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the executive team.
Requirements
· Minimum 2+ years of controllership experience.
· Farm equipment industry experience an asset.
· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
· DIS software experience an asset.
· Strong communication and leadership skills.
