Overview The New Brunswick Home Support Association (NBHSA) is a non‑profit, voluntary organization representing the providers of home and community care services in New Brunswick. We provide a unified voice for our members, a unique alliance of owners and operators of home care and support services, supportive living and long‑term community care; private and non‑profit sector providers; and providers of quality products and services that support the home care sector. Together, we are united by a shared belief in the value of care at home and the essential role this sector plays in the lives of New Brunswickers.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Association. This is an prospect to lead with purpose; to be a voice for a sector that matters deeply, and to help shape a future where more people can remain safely and compassionately supported in their homes and communities. The Executive Director is responsible for advancing organizational sustainability, supporting strong governance, leading advocacy efforts, and building meaningful relationships across the sector and beyond.

Key Responsibilities Leadership Provide visionary Leadership and organizational Direction.
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to Develop and Implement the Association's Strategic Plan in alignment with the NBHSA’s mission.
Nurture relationships with community leaders, elected and appointed officials, partner organizations and other external rightsholders.
Lead organizational planning efforts to ensure long‑term growth and operational viability.
Produce and present financial documentation, board meeting materials, and progress reports on strategic initiatives.
Lead and manage all fundraising initiatives, including major gifts, grant writing, donor stewardship, and corporate sponsorships.
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to grow revenue year over year and provide practical benefits to members.
Create methods for tracking impact, such as member and demographic surveys, questionnaires, etc. to better understand our audience and their needs.
Seek growth opportunities through partnerships, building and maintaining long‑term relationships with funders and donors.
Events & Member Engagement Comprehensive planning and oversight of association events, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and other initiatives.
Govern the association’s digital presence and oversee the creation of and disseminate brand collateral (advertisements and marketing materials) to all relevant channels and partners (individuals, organizations, and PR entities).
Manage the association’s membership program to ensure the achievement of established membership acquisition and retention targets.
Serve as the formal representative of the Association at diverse stakeholder and member‑focused events.
Administration & Financial Reporting Report to the board and attend monthly board meetings.
Create monthly and annual reports to describe the organization’s activity/progress against the strategic direction/mission.
Oversee the preparation and management of the annual budget and monitor financial performance.
Coordinate and support the year‑end process and ensure proper record keeping.
Qualifications & Experience Minimum of three (3) years’ of relevant experience in a related field. Experience working in a not‑for‑profit and/or community organization is an asset.
Demonstrated experience in Project Management, social Services, stakeholder relations.
Strong Operational leadership skills with an understanding of nonprofit governance, board relations, and financial competency including working knowledge of budgets, cash flow, income statements, balance statements, and statements of functional expenses.
Ability to use sound judgment and maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Excellent written and verbal communication in both French and English.
Working Conditions Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Must have a private, secure home office space free from distractions that allows for video conferencing and uninterrupted periods of deep work.
