secondary education in Recreation, Education, Child Care or related field.
Current First Aid and CPR certification (required).
Valid Class 5 Alberta Drivers License (required).
Previous experience in day camps, recreation programming, or youth supervision is preferred.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience is considered an asset and preferred.
Water safety/ Lifeguarding or water safety certification is considered an asset. SKILLS REQUIRED: Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good written/verbal communication, interpersonal and public relations skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Sound understanding of provincial and municipal law.

Employment Type: EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Day Camp Coordinator Summer Temporary Position (May 4, 2026, to August 28, 2026) The Town of Slave Lake is seeking an enthusiastic individual to serve as our Day Camp Coordinator for the 2026 Summer Splash program.
This position is temporary for the 2026 season.
This is a seasonal position (May to August), working under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Day Camp Coordinator coordinates and supports summer programming for ages 6

Hours: solving skills.
Sound understanding of Investigative techniques.
Demonstrated skill in the writing of investigative reports.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer and keyboarding skills, such as Microsoft Word/Excel Note: The above is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities and activities required for this position but gives a general nature and level of work being performed by the incumbent. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Work indoors most of the time.
They may occasionally work outdoors when leading activities.

Normal working day consists of a maximum of 8 hours; however, occasional extended hours may be required.
