As an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), you will assess emergency scenes and patients and may transport ill or injured patients from emergency scenes and between facilities. This includes operating ambulances or other modes of transportation. You will treat patients by administering medications, advanced life support (ALS) airway adjuncts and electrical therapy. You may also lead the ALS crew in delivering clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes. Hours: pensionable allowance is paid on an hourly basis for all hours worked at the basic rate of pay. Location: Slave Lake is located approximately 255 km east of Grande Prairie and 250 km northwest of Edmonton. Situated along Lesser Slave Lake, it offers excellent outdoor recreation, solid community infrastructure, and access to regional services.
