Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor boilers, compressors, ammonia refrigeration systems, and plant utilities
Ensure compliance with TSSA regulations and all safety standards
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize production downtime
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift records
Monitor and safely handle ammonia refrigeration systems
Support production to ensure continuous operations
Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for repairs and shutdowns
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment efficiency
Qualifications:
Valid 3rd Class Power Engineer License or Refrigeration B Operator Certification.
2 5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or processing workplace.
Robust knowledge of boilers, HVAC, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
Experience with CMMS systems is an asset
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime
