We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport aggregate products around Simcoe County. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport aggregates to designated locations
- Load and unload Aggregates and heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, operate heavy equipment, and perform manual tasks as needed
