Position Summary
The Special Projects Coordinator is a key driver of operational and strategic goals, responsible for the implementation of key initiatives and process improvement projects. This role will turn data into meaningful insights that support smarter, faster decision-making. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role partners closely with the Operations staff to analyze data, develop impactful reports, to successfully implement systems, processes, and cross-functional projects across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to Safety, Quality, Lean Manufacturing, and operational efficiency
- Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies across the organization
- Assist in the development, documentation, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and standard operating practices
- Maintain process improvement and corrective action tracking logs to support operational excellence
- Collect, compile, validate, and analyze operational and business data from multiple sources to support decision-making.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards using Excel (pivot tables, charts, data models)
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and present clear, actionable insights.
- Coordinate and support cross-functional special projects from initiation through to completion
- Monitor project timelines, track progress, and provide regular updates to the Plant Manager and stakeholders
- Support the IT environment with coordination through suppliers and service vendors leading initiatives with new technology.
- Provide general analytical and administrative support to the Operations.

Skilled Experience & Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in a related field required; CTech designation
- Lean Manufacturing training considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, reporting, data analysis) and strong skills in Microsoft Word
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement and emerging technologies, including AI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
