Job Summary
The Architectural Sales Representative will act as the key point of contact between the company and the architectural and construction community. This role is responsible for building strong relationships, promoting innovative façade and cladding solutions, and securing product specifications within major projects.
This is a highly relationship-driven, sales-focused role suited for someone passionate about sustainable construction, with strong industry connections and the ability to influence design decisions early in the project lifecycle.
This position is primarily office-based with regular travel and reports to the Sales Director.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Industry Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, developers, and general contractors
- Promote façade, cladding, and sustainable building envelope solutions
Specification & Sales Strategy
- Develop targeted strategies to drive product specifications across key verticals
- Identify opportunities to increase market penetration and exceed sales targets
Presentations & Technical Expertise
- Deliver engaging presentations and product training sessions
- Translate technical solutions into value-driven benefits for clients
Pipeline Development
- Generate and manage a strong pipeline through networking, prospecting, and industry engagement
- Track and convert opportunities from specification through project completion
Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal engineering, production, and project teams to ensure smooth execution
- Support project delivery aligned with timelines and client expectations
Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies
- Position solutions effectively within the market
Reporting & Forecasting
- Provide regular updates on pipeline, forecasts, and market insights
Brand Representation
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
Target Market Verticals
Higher Education / Universities
- Engage with campus planners, architects, and developers
- Promote sustainable and energy-productive façade solutions aligned with institutional ESG goals
Airports / Aviation Infrastructure
- Support terminal expansions and infrastructure upgrades
- Position solutions for durability, performance, and sustainability
Healthcare / Medical Facilities
- Work with healthcare stakeholders to integrate high-performance building materials
- Emphasize durability, hygiene, and energy efficiency
REITs & Multi-Residential
- Target large real estate portfolios for retrofit and new-build opportunities
- Focus on scalable, cost-effective upgrades for urban developments
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in specification sales within construction, building materials, or related industries
- Proven success influencing architects and securing specifications in competitive markets
- Strong understanding of architectural processes, building codes, and green building standards (LEED preferred)
- Experience with façade, cladding, or building envelope systems is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-driven, organized, and comfortable managing a territory
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
