Responsibilities
- Act as lead or supporting counsel on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of real estate and related agreements.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients including financial institutions, developers, and commercial landlords and tenants.
- Manage files independently and work collaboratively with senior lawyers and clients.
- Conduct due diligence and oversee all aspects of closings.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and a solutions-focused approach.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of post-call experience in commercial real estate law.
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Strong technical skills in real estate transactions and financing.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.
- A client-focused mindset with the ability to build and foster strong professional relationships.
