We Are Looking For:
\nWe are looking for an experienced Band Saw Operator / Machine Operator to join our dedicated team on the day shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm). This role will work out of our 87,000 sq. ft. facility located in Puslinch, ON.\n
Please note our facility is not accessible by bus.
\n
Primary Responsibilities:
\n
\n
- Mainly operate a variety of industrial saw machines, but may operate other machine shop equipment as required
\n
- May operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts
\n
- Read blue prints to determine scope of work
\n
- Observe machine operations and periodically verify conformance of parts to specifications using micrometers and verniers
\n
- May need to periodically work outside in all weather conditions
\n
- General duties as required
\n
- Maintain a safe and clean work area as well as work as efficiently as possible
\n
- Work in a safe manner in accordance to legislation and Company policies. This includes working in required PPE (Steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses)
\n
\nQualifications:\n
\n
- Minimum 1-2 years' hands on experience working with industrial equipment. Previous saw experience considered a strong asset
\n
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing/machine shop workplace
\n
- Must be able to accurately read blueprints
\n
- Must be able to accurately use measuring tools
\n
- Previous experience using hand tools
\n
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
\n
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time
\n
- Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
\n
- Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team oriented environment
\n
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, continually adapting to change and work under pressure
\n
