Your Role Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of HR activities at our plant. You will be responsible for a full range of functions: recruitment, payroll, training, health and safety, employee engagement, legal compliance, and more. You will actively contribute to providing a healthy, engaging, and high-performing work environment.
Your main responsibilities
Actively participate in the Health and Safety Committee and support a strong health and safety culture by contributing to the development and implementation of policies and action plans.
Ensure payroll processing and time tracking in collaboration with managers; Maintain up-to-date employee files and ensure their confidentiality.
Collaborate in the management of disciplinary files, complaints, and disputes by preparing the required administrative documentation.
Manage the complete recruitment cycle: posting, pre-screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding of recent employees.
Write and distribute internal and external HR communications (memos, announcements, newsletters, etc.).
Maintain internal policies and support HR management in their continuous improvement.
Participate in the organization of recognition and engagement activities. Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
Provide high-quality support to employees, managers, candidates, and external partners.
Manage work permit applications for foreign workers.
Support training and skills development management.
Perform any other related human resources tasks.
Required Profile
University degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or a related field.
Minimum of one year of experience in a similar position.
Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and discretion.
Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
In-depth knowledge of Quebec labor laws and standards.
Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset.
