The Role: Millwright
Availability: Full-time, Monday-Friday with flexibility
Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the Millwright will support our Industrial Mechanic/Millwright with the day-to-day maintenance of machinery at our 3 Etobicoke, ON facilities.
What you do (Responsibilities):
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Utilize technology and research solutions for various problems that arise
- Review and follow-up on open tickets and reconcile in the (Hippo) Ticketing system
- Research and look up parts, obtain quotes and submit requests for PO# to be issued
- Support & coach the team with gathering information for tasks on the Hippo ticketing system
- Maintain an inventory of parts for different machines using the Hippo system
- Perform tasks using power and hand tools in safe and suitable way
- Problem solve tasks as they arise and ensure all task are completed in a timely manner
- Complete and/or maintain training and certifications for fork Lift (reach/counter balance), TDG and Waste Manifest
Who you are (Qualifications):
Required:
- 433A licensed Millwright in an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment
- Available to work the evening shift 7:00pm-3:30am once PM shift training is completed
- Comfortable reading, writing and speaking English
- Proficient in GSuite (Gmail/GChat) and various computer software
- Good use of hand/power tools and machinery
- Mechanical aptitude and industry knowledge
- Trained and experienced in working at heights
- Abe to quickly problem solve repairs and maintenance
- Systematic approach to repairs and label and store parts accordingly
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Able to do physical work for 8-hour shifts, on your feet and lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual and dependable
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Accurately handle high volume of transactions, meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast- paced environment
- Able to travel between 3 facilities and to suppliers as required
- Maintain a positive attitude, working in a team-oriented team environment and have integrity in the work you performance
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous work experience in repairs and maintenance of machinery
- Dexterity, being able to think non-linearly; seeing pieces of a set and identifying what's missing
- Experience using a CMMS System
- Hobbies: mechanical related, repairs and maintenance
- Background in troubleshooting repairs and determine effective approach
- Able to read, understand and interpret drawings and manuals
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience with Auto Cad
- Forklift Training, TDG, and safety training
- Accustomed to working in a highly seasonal, high pressure environment
- Flexible to work shift work, afternoon shift, weekends, holidays and occasional overtime.
