What You'll Do
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll be an integral part of our care team, delivering skilled nursing support and helping residents live with comfort and dignity:
- Provide direct nursing care such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and completing treatments
- Assess and monitor residents with complex health needs
- Lead and guide Health Care Aides in delivering high-quality care
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external care providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safe, evidence-informed care
- Support residents and families in understanding care procedures and treatment plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold confidentiality
- Practice within full scope as defined by CLPNA standards and facility policies
What You Bring:
- A diploma from a recognized Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Active, unrestricted registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current CPR/BCLS certification for healthcare providers
- Experience in seniors care or gerontology is an asset
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- A strong commitment to person-centered care and teamwork
- Critical thinking, sound judgment, and a compassionate, professional presence
