Emergency - Paediatric
The Emergency Department - Paediatric is recognized in the region for providing quality Paediatric care and specializes in the care of patients less than 18 years of age. The Emergency Department - Paediatric functions as the Paediatric Trauma Centre and is the gateway to the Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre. This department is supported by a wide variety of Paediatric clinical specialties.

- Regular Part-Time
- Rate of Pay: $37.10 per hour - $37.77 per hour
Part-time employees receive a percentage in lieu of vacation and advantages, providing additional compensation on top of regular wages
- Hours of work: No guarantee of hours
Part-time employees will have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts based on unit operational needs and availability

Qualifications
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Proof of a current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course: BLS-HCP(C)
- ENC (C), ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent emergency nursing experience
- Paediatric emergency nursing experience preferred
- Recent Monitoring experience
- Highly developed clinical skills, including: assessment, technical skills (lumbar punctures, bone marrow aspirates, IV and phlebotomy skills)
- Well developed patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation skills
- Ability to recognize own feelings, express them fully and constructively manage own feelings in challenging and emotionally charged situations
- Ability to express ideas clearly, confidently and directly and work through conflicts and differences in a respectful way
- Ability to understand the feelings, concerns and needs of other people, demonstrate care and interest towards them and establish and maintain productive relationships
- Ability to stay effective and resilient when dealing with adverse circumstances and multiple demands
- Ability to demonstrate an optimistic disposition toward new experiences and change in general
- Evidence of commitment to self-directed learning as demonstrated by the courses taken pertaining to emergency nursing
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Automated Clinical Systems
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
