Position Overview:
This is a dual role position that combines clinical dental assisting with front-desk dental administration. The ideal candidate is confident chairside, organized at the front, and understands how both roles work together to create a smooth patient experience.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and thrives in a rapid-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities:
Dental Assistant Duties:
Chairside assisting during dental procedures
Instrument setup, breakdown, and sterilization
Assisting with X-rays and clinical documentation
Maintaining infection control and IPAC standards
Supporting the dentist to ensure efficient appointments
Dental Administration Duties:
Greeting patients and managing check-ins/check-outs
Scheduling appointments and managing the schedule
Handling insurance submissions, estimates, and follow-ups
Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
Answering phones and providing excellent patient communication
Qualifications:
Dental Assistant certification/HARP Certification (required)
Dental administration experience (preferred)
Experience with dental software (asset)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable multitasking and switching between clinical and admin duties
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
