Job Overview
Patrick Mechanical Limited (PML) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a robust understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate a variety of tools and machinery. The Welder will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, supporting projects across construction, ductwork, and manufacturing sectors.
Duties
Perform MIG and TIG welding on diverse materials in accordance with detailed schematics and blueprints
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand/power tools to shape and assemble metal parts
Conduct rigging operations to position materials safely for welding or assembly
Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in fabrication
Assist with machining tasks as needed to prepare components for welding or assembly
Support crane operations for lifting heavy materials safely during fabrication processes
Execute ductwork fabrication, structural welding, and component assembly with accuracy
Maintain a clean and protected work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
Collaborate with team members on projects involving schematics, blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly
Requirements
Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding within manufacturing or construction environments
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, ductwork, and assembly processes
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and welding equipment
Knowledge of rigging operations and crane safety procedures
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment
Commitment to safety standards and quality assurance practices in all tasks undertaken
