Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing the framework of buildings and structures, ensuring precision and safety throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, carpentry, and various construction techniques. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including restoration, siding, and concrete forming, utilizing both hand tools and power tools to deliver high-quality results.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine framing specifications.
- Construct wood or metal frameworks for walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for lifting and positioning large materials safely.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as part of building foundations or other structural elements.
- Install siding, sheathing, and other exterior or interior components according to project requirements.
- Utilize welding skills for metal framing or reinforcement when necessary.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure proper placement while maintaining safety standards.
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing existing structures.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols during construction activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or framing roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans is essential.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, concrete finishing, siding installation, and woodworking techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience operating heavy equipment and power tools safely on job sites is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments is necessary.
