Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a division of Canada’s largest privately held hospitality company, Northland Properties Corporation (NPC), and since its inception in 2007, we have gained a reputation for big mountain riding, legendary powder and an authentic Canadian resort town.
Job Summary
RMR's Aerial Park Attendants guide guests through our technical ropes course. This is a excellent job for those looking to be outside and active at work. You'll be required to climb ropes and obstacles 4 stories high in all weather conditions and maintain a constant detailed approach to safety.
Essential Job Functions
- Understand the proper use of all guide and guest safety equipment. (Harnesses, clicks, etc.)
- Ensure that all guests using the Aerial Park are fully trained on safe use procedures.
- Lead guests throughout the Aerial Park (This involves strenuous climbing and requires staff to join in a daily stretching routine planned out by professional physiotherapists.)
- Confident rescue skills. (Scenarios and practice provided during training and throughout the season)
- Control the flow of guests using the Aerial Park.
- Provide guests with general resort and town information.
- Set up and take down equipment such as poles, ropes, tents and signs.
- General safe operation of the Aerial Park.
Required Qualifications and Abilities
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must be able to provide SIN # - document provided by Canadian government
- Must have a passion for the outdoors and the ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be comfortable working at heights.
- Must be able to do strong physical labor (strenuous climbing for long periods at a time.)
- Must be able to work flexible shifts (we operate on weekends and holidays.)
- Mature, enthusiastic, and guest service oriented.
- First aid skills an asset.
- Ability to multi-task and communicate clearly over a radio.
- Willingness to assist other departments when required.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
