Skills as a Professional environmental operator and water treatment/distribution and wastewater collection/treatment Level II certification from a recognized provincial or territorial accreditation body are also assets. Equivalencies consisting of an acceptable combination of education, training and experience may be considered. A Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory for this position.

The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktitut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages would be considered an asset. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land,Inuit

Directly reporting to the Regional Facility Manager (RFM), the position will be responsible for all operations including maintenance, billing/revenue collection, updates and improvements for the Water/Wastewater system in the community of Rankin Inlet. The position will also be responsible for all Minor and Capital projects with the Rankin Inlet Water/Wastewater Systems plus six (6) other Kivalliq Region Water Treatment Plants and works through all stages of project planning, budgeting, implementation, completion and warranty follow
