Job Description:*
\nReporting to the Clinical Manager/PACS Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for organizing and performing the ultrasound examinations requested by physicians, to maintain and document high quality images, and practice valuable patient care.\n
Basic Requirements:*
Graduate of an approved and accredited school of ultrasonography with current membership in the
\nSonography Canada.\n
Commitment to excellence, quality, patient and employee safety.
Previous experience as an Ultrasonographer in a hospital environment.
Must be able to perform abdomen, pelvis, endovaginal, scrotal, thyroid, deep vein ultrasound (DVT) and obstetrical. Carotid and shoulders preferred.
Demonstrated ability to maintain qualified standards in all areas of work.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
Ability to meet demands of the job, both physical and cognitive.
Preferred Qualifications:*
Previous experience in vascular imaging
