City of Kenora is currently seeking a Truck and Coach Mechanic (310T) (Kenora) to join their team in Kenora.

Required Experience

driven tools to diagnose, repair and service vehicles and mechanical equipment.* Inspect, adjust, and replace necessary units and related parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work.* Initiate repair requisitions for parts and supplies.* Create and maintain equipment service records.* Perform inspections and safety checks along with ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.* Provide emergency field assistance to disabled vehicles and equipment as needed and appropriate in all weather conditions.* May be required to provide training to other staff/apprentices.*Qualifications:** Grade 12 or equivalent.* Current Ontario Government Certificates of Qualifications for a Truck and Coach Technician (310T) is required. A preferred asset would be a current Ontario Government Certificate of Qualifications Automotive Service Technician (310S).* Valid Class “G” Driver’s License.* Three (3) years progressive experience of diesel engines including transmissions, differentials, electrical, hydraulics, air brake systems, welding/fabricating.
Experience in automotive mechanics would be an asset.* Knowledge of CVOR requirements and regulations is required.* Knowledge of small engines and generator repairs would be an asset.* Proficient in the use of computer applications such Microsoft Office Suite is required.* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills with a proven focus on service delivery.* Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.* Ability to maintain accurate records.* Ability to work independently and as a team member.* Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.* Must provide own mechanics tools up to and including ½” drive sockets and wrenches to 1 ¼” sizings.*Why work for the City of Kenora?** Predictable Hours & Work
