Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with a background in Transportation (roads, geometrics) to join our Kelowna Team. As the successful candidate, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of civil projects. We are open candidates in Kamloops or Vancouver as well. A Day in the Life Manage a variety of transportation projects including design and construction of transportation infrastructure

Provide technical guidance to a team of EITs and designers to deliver preliminary to detailed design drawings and specifications
\n
Carry out estimates of project costs, analysis and calculations, design review, preparation of reports, proposals, and contract documentation
\n
Build business relationships with current and potential clients
\n
Interface directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations
\n
Ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets to high quality standards
\n
Create a work plan that includes a schedule, milestones, control, and risk factors
\n
Proactively resolve performance, scope, and schedule issues as they arise What You’ll Bring to the Team Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
\n
Must be registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of British Columbia
\n
6+ years of relevant experience in municipal engineering and project management
\n
Strong project management, technical and analytical skills
\n
Strong technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in the preparation of correspondence, reports and proposals
\n
Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills
\n
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; able to mentor and work with junior engineers and designers
\n
