QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KEY COMPETENCIES
Education/ Experience:
· Technical diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry or related field
· 3

5 years of experience in the hazardous waste management industry.
· Previous certifications such as HAZWOPER, TDG, WHMIS, are considered assets.
· Proven experience in handling hazardous chemicals and working with waste management systems, often specifically in industrial or municipal environments.
· Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, and understanding of Safety Data Sheets, SDS.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to analyze data and generate reports.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HOURS OF SERVICE
This role will function in both field and office settings as dictated by the needs of the business and may fluctuate. This position may be required to respond without notice to support major incidents/events in Canada either via telephone or in person.
This position will not be included in the regional on call roster, however as a management role it is expected that the individual will be materially available to personally provide a safe and effective level of supervision and instruction to all subordinate positions for all work being performed, or to adequately supply an equivalent level of supervision and instruction through delegation for periods of unavailability.
