7 is partnering with a mining client in Ontario, Canada to hire an experienced Surface/Mill Trainer.
Position Overview Reporting to the Health and Safety Training Supervisor, the Surface/Mill Trainer serves as a subject matter expert on surface and mill training standards, providing constructive review and feedback on new and existing standard operating procedures while ensuring alignment with applicable occupational health and safety regulations and organizational safety policies.
The Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Deliver training and development programs for mobile equipment operators and mill personnel, ensuring workers are properly authorized, competent, and qualified to perform assigned duties.
Support the development and continuous improvement of training programs, instructional materials, and assessment resources.
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures to promote clarity, consistency, and operator progression.
Maintain and update training records and competency tracking systems.
Ensure assigned equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
Verify that employee training aligns with legislative and organizational requirements.
Identify skill gaps and training needs to enhance operator competency and program effectiveness.
Complete required documentation, including training records, coaching logs, and competency sign
