Medicine Hat College’s Centre for Innovation is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Student Research Coordinator to support the growth of applied research, student engagement, and regional innovation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working with students and faculty, and is passionate about strengthening research capacity within our community.
A little about the role:
The Student Research Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting Medicine Hat College’s applied research activities by coordinating the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing support of student research assistants. The position also supports the operations of the APEX regional innovation network by collecting and managing metrics, preparing monthly success stories, coordinating meetings and communications, and assisting with event planning and promotional activities. Through this work, the Coordinator helps ensure students receive high quality training while supporting faculty and industry partners in advancing applied research initiatives.
The successful candidate will bring strong project coordination and organizational skills, along with the ability to interpret data for reporting and decision making. They will have knowledge of applied research processes, experience developing training materials and digital content, and proficiency with communication and data management tools. Terms of Employment
Term of appointment: 3 Year Contract
Hours of work: Up to 35 hours per week.
Wage Rate: $75,000 gross annually, inclusive of benefits and MERC’s.
