Required Experience

related SOX procedures and internal audits, ensuring payroll processes are in line with controls; Respond to information requests and assist in the implementation of key initiatives impacting payroll, including acquisitions of new assets/employees; Stay abreast and aware of new laws and regulations regarding payroll related issues; Assist in identifying recurring issues, problematic trends, and in recommending changes in basic procedures.
Knowledge and Experience Required Bachelors degree in Business Administration required; payroll certification is preferred; Minimum of 2

4 years of Canadian payroll experience covering all aspects of payroll processing, with at least two (2) years in a comparably complex company required; Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large number of payrolls while working under tight deadlines; Flexible and adaptable: willing and able to change priorities to meet team goals; Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and sound judgment; Motivated problem solver with the ability to sort through issues to create and recommend improvements; Strong interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships at all levels in the organization; Ability to deal sensitively with confidential information; Strong oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of US payroll preferred but not required; Experience working in a public and/or fast growth company; Understanding of collective agreement applications for payroll ; Expert use of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power
Point) required and experience working with Ultipro (HRIS) is desirable.
