Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) Program Coordinator (Part time, Term)
The Town of Deep River is currently seeking a candidate for a part‑time, term position in the Recreation Department. Reporting to the Recreation & Culture Manager, the coordinator will develop and manage programs that promote active and healthy living, social engagement, and continuous learning opportunities for area seniors.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage programs that promote active and healthy living.
Encourage social engagement among seniors.
Provide opportunities for continuous learning.
Qualifications
Ontario Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
Post‑secondary education in social services, recreation, geriatrics, gerontology or a related field is a plus.
Experience as a recreation programmer and working with older adults is preferred.
Solid interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience with office administration and the planning and delivery of programs, activities, workshops, and special events.
Compensation
$32.00 per hour with 4% vacation pay.
