Lead and coordinate special projects with Mine Operations and Contractors, which includes the management of the planning, scheduling, and budgeting for each project.

Monitor compliance and ensure adherence to applicable engineering codes, regulations, safety and environmental practices, performance standards and specifications.
\n
Troubleshoot problems that arise; analyze and recommend solutions so that mining will proceed according to plan.
\n
In consultation with the mine team, evaluate alternative optimized methods of ore extraction, stope access and mining sequence, detailing the costs, benefits and issues with each approach and make recommendations to the team.
\n
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures within the Engineering department and Mine Operations.
\n
Participate actively in training programs, personal improvement, and job improvement initiatives.
\n
Continually develop the ability, knowledge and skills necessary to keep up with the changing methods and technology.
\n
Assist and coordinate special projects that arise within the planning and projects teams.
\n
Perform other duties as requested.

You To qualify, you will need accreditation as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario (or be actively working towards it), along with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. A minimum of 5 years of underground mining experience in hard rock (preferably gold) operations will also be essential. Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valu
