Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements as well as monthly internal reporting packages inclusive of subsidiary reporting oversight
\n
Prepare consolidation procedures including intercompany eliminations, consolidation and foreign currency translation of subsidiaries
\n
Review of month end close activities including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, financial result analysis and variance explanations
\n
Proficient in corporate tax compliance process including quarterly and annual projections, installment calculations, and variance analysis.
\n
Manage monthly and quarterly sales tax compliance (GST/HST and QST returns) and annual preparation of legal entity financial statements
\n
Oversee and manage corporate accounts receivables and billings
\n
Manage and coach a team of accountants
\n
Review and manage annual budget and quarterly reforecast process
\n
Prepare weekly and quarterly cash forecasts
\n
Responding to internal and external client requests and queries
\n
Proactively improve the accounting process with automation and actively identify areas for improvement\nAbout You
\n
Professional accounting designation (CPA) 5+ years of experience in corporate finance roles
\n
Understanding of accounting standards (ASPE, US GAAP) and corporate finance concepts and internal controls
\n
MS Office Suite skills and advanced Excel skills
\n
Experience with Yardi software is preferred
\n
Audit experience in the real estate industry is an asset
\n
Demonstrated ability to roll
