JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Senior DBA to join a top client in the technology and secure communications industry. They are currently taking on a project to migrate MS SQL from windows to Linux.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of hands on Microsoft SQL Server administration or engineering on Windows, with at least 2 years of production experience on Linux.
• Direct, production experience running SQL Server 2019 or 2022 on Linux
• Proven experience migrating SQL Server from Windows to Linux operating systems
• Practical Linux administration experience:
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Performance tuning experience specific to SQL Server on Linux
• Terraform, Bash, and PowerShell
• Overall experience with infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with AWS offerings and services
• Experience monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Zabbix)
