About The Data Co.The Data Co. (thedataco.Com) is building the operating system for the aesthetics industry. Our platform consolidates data from multiple practice management systems, CRMs, ad platforms, and payroll systems into a unified analytics platform purpose‐built for aesthetics operators. We sit above all source systems as the single source of truth for operator performance data, with standardized KPI definitions built alongside leading operators. The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Data Developer who will own the technical backbone of our platform: our dbt transformation layer, our Looker semantic layer, and the integrations that feed them. This is a high‐leverage IC role on a fast‐moving team. You will report to our Engineering Lead and work closely with the CEO. This is not a generalist data role. We need someone who is deep in dbt and Looker, comfortable with complex data modeling across a diverse ecosystem of clinical and business systems, and excited about building unified, reliable analytics in an industry that has never had them. This is a remote‐first role with travel to our Montreal headquarters approximately one week per quarter, or as needed. What You Will OwnDesign, build, and maintain our dbt transformation models across a multi‐source data architecture spanning practice management, CRM, advertising, and payroll systemsOwn our Looker semantic layer: LookML development, Explores, dashboards, and data governanceWork through the real‐world complexity of multi‐location healthcare services data: membership and package accounting, revenue recognition, and reconciliation across systems that were not designed to talk to each otherCollaborate with our integration engineers to ensure clean, reliable data lands in the warehouse from a growing set of source systemsDrive standardization of KPI definitions in partnership with operators and the product team, so every location and every system speaks the same languageWhat We're looking forRequired4+ years of experience in data developering or analytics engineeringDeep, hands‐on dbt expertise: complex models, incremental strategies, testing, documentation, macrosStrong Looker / LookML experience: you have built and owned semantic layers, not just written queries in LookerSolid SQL and comfort working with large, complex, real‐world datasetsExperience with modern cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Postgres)Solid communication skills and comfort working directly with operators and business stakeholders to define and refine KPIsNice to haveHealthcare, Aesthetics/MedSpa, or multi‐location retail or services data experienceFamiliarity with event‐stream architectures and treating source systems as event streamsPython for data tooling or pipeline orchestrationExperience building analytics products for operators or franchises with complex revenue modelsWho You AreYou care deeply about data quality and get uncomfortable when definitions are ambiguous or inconsistentYou are energized by ambiguity in an early‐stage company, not paralyzed by itYou can work independently, push things forward without a lot of hand‐holding, and communicate proactively when you are blockedYou want to be part of building something that matters in an industry you can actually see and touchSalaryWe offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits and performance incentives.BenefitsGroup insurancePaid time off and holidaysWhen ApplyingInclude a brief note about a data modeling challenge you are proud of solving. We read every application and we respond. No recruiters, please.#J
