Required Experience

shop exterior selling area that is wheelchair accessible
Ensure that our department standards are consistently met
Ensure the completion of thorough monthly department scans/maintenance
Lead remerchandising activities
Order direct vendor items for housewares, coordinate the ordering of plants with the Stellarton store
Ensure plants are watered and properly looked after
Proactively eliminate duplicate items to make the stock more manageable
Manage the display and assembly of large seasonal items.
Time Management & Staff Management*
Create a daily “To Do” list at the beginning of each day
Ensure staff within the department are assigned a task list
Work with staff in the department to ensure they show up to work reliably, know how to use our systems, understand our procedures, complete all tasks properly, work efficiently, and provide excellent customer service
Communication*
Proactively Communicate with the Floor Manager
Keep up to date with company news, reviewing staff room memos regularly, and checking email at the beginning of each day.
Continuous Improvement*
Work with the Floor Manager and other team members to drive profitability and increase customer satisfaction
Qualifications:*
Previous retail experience
Retail management or supervisory experience is considered an asset but not required
Ability to motivate and guide a team successfully
A passion for delivering excellent customer service and building relationships
Schedule:*
Working one full weekend every 2 weeks
