The Explorer Hotel – Yellowknife, NT
The Explorer Hotel is seeking a dependable and hardworking Seasonal Groundskeeper to support exterior property maintenance during the Spring/Summer season. This is a part time, seasonal position intended for local candidates in Yellowknife and the surrounding area.
Position Details
Seasonal, Part Time
15–24 hours per week
Spring/Summer term (weather dependent)
Key Responsibilities
Maintain exterior cleanliness of hotel grounds, walkways, entrances, and common outdoor areas.
Perform landscaping duties, including watering plants, shrubs, flowers, and maintaining greenery.
Sweep sidewalks, parking areas, and outdoor guest spaces to ensure a clean and welcoming appearance.
Collect and dispose of garbage and debris throughout exterior areas.
Maintain back of house exterior spaces to support a positive guest and operational experience.
Wash exterior windows and glass surfaces as required.
Support seasonal property upkeep and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks.
Robust attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, attractive spaces.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance experience is an asset but not required.
Eligibility
Local candidates only (Yellowknife and surrounding area).
This is a seasonal, part time role and not eligible for employer sponsorship.
