Job Description:
\nUnder the direction of the Logistics Manager the Seasonal driver is responsible for daily deliveries in and around Southern Ontario beginning and ending their day at our Waterdown location. They will be driving company vehicles.\n
· Perform duties in keeping with the Ministry of Transportation requirements
\n
· Conduct thorough and effective inspections of vehicle and material on board
\n
· Strap and secure materials where necessary to ensure materials are safely transported
\n
· Operate the vehicle safely and in accordance with local jurisdiction
\n
· Maintain records/logs as prescribed by the Ministry of Transportation and Company policy
\n
· Operate company issued electronic and/or communication equipment professionally and respectfully
\n
· Maintain a professional presentation and interaction with customers
\n
· Complete work assignments in keeping with customer requirements and deadlines
\n
· Liaise with Transportation/Shipping department to advise of any delays or questions of deliveries
\n
· Perform all tasks safely and as directed by management
\n
· Perform all tasks in a qualified, respectful manner
\n
· Any other tasks that may be assigned by management
\n
· Participate in all company directed training
\n
Requirements:
\n· AZ License\n
· Clean drivers abstract
\n
· At least 5 years previous experience
\n
· Ability to lift up to 70 lbs when necessary.
\n
· Crane certification an asset but not requirement
\n
