Position Details
The Southern Alberta Medical Program (SAMP) will be delivered through an creative partnership between the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine (CSM) and the University of Lethbridge. SAMP offers students the opportunity to earn a UCalgary medical degree while completing their training in southern Alberta.
The Anatomy Technician supports the delivery of the University of Calgary’s medical curriculum and clinical skills education within the SAMP program at the University of Lethbridge. Working collaboratively with faculty and leadership, this role prepares, sets up, and supports multi modal anatomy teaching sessions, through resource development, using anatomical models, virtual anatomy technology, task trainers, medical equipment, and (in future) human cadaveric specimens.
The position ensures a safe, clean, and fully equipped learning environment through effective lab setup, infection control, procurement, inventory management, and technical support. The Anatomy Technician also provides administrative coordination, equipment troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and maintains compliance with institutional policies, with potential future responsibility for operational management of anatomical specimens and donors.
Some travel to Calgary to collaborate with the team there may be required.

3 of relevant clinical experience in a variety of health care settings, including working with human cadaveric material, anatomy labs, or specimen based education. MSc Anatomical Sciences, preferred.
