Qualifications
Experience working with individuals with disabilities especially autism is highly desirable
Knowledge of “First/Then” language
Able to follow techniques already used in the home such as when to use language/gestures/timers
Robust communication skills and compassionate and quiet demeanor
Must be able to use patience during communication while keeping language minimal and exact
Ability to work independently while following care plans and instructions
Certification in caregiving, DSW, SSW, CPR, or first aid is a plus but not mandatory
Need support minimal 2 hours daily, Monday thru Friday
Experience with autism, elopement a must
Looking for worker to provide meaningful learning experiences in the community for one young adult!
References relating to field a plus!
