Employment Type: Position Overview
This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivering Rx accurately and timely. Managing inventory levels to meet patient needs, counseling patients with appropriate documentation, providing friendly, proactive interaction, and creating awareness through public relations.
What You'll Do
Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
Ensure medication and OTC supplement inventory levels are adequate.
Provide counseling on recent/additional medications in a friendly, positive, pro‑active manner.
Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.).
Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor requests/issues.
Review and control costs within the dispensary.
On‑going training for current and existing pharmacy colleagues.
Responsible for receiving, preparing and delivery of Rx and clinical services within scope of practice.
Regular travel and reliable transportation required; work in a variety of pharmacies.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacists license.
Superior customer relations skills, professionalism, strong leadership and performance management.
Proven ability to build business using community‑based marketing strategies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Computer skills including Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy systems.
