· Coordinates project closeout activities, including deficiencies, record documents, Construction Completion Certificates, and Final Acceptance Certificates.
· Ensures compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, standards, Town bylaws, corporate policies, and approved project requirements.
· Prepares reports, recommendations, project updates, and supporting documentation for internal leadership, committees, and Council as requested.
· Builds effective working relationships and coordinates across departments and with external agencies, consultants, contractors, utilities, property owners, and residents.
· Communicates project impacts, schedules, design considerations, and service disruptions to stakeholders and responds to questions or concerns in a professional manner.
· Provides technical guidance, project support, and mentorship to departmental staff as assigned.
· Supports continuous improvement in project delivery practices, documentation standards, and internal coordination processes.
· Demonstrates a commitment to workplace health and safety and complies with Town safety policies and applicable Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
· Performs other related duties in accordance with Town policies and standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Holds a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or holds a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
· Possesses a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in project delivery, capital works, infrastructure construction, or municipal engineering support.
· Municipal experience is an asset.
· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
· Registration as an Engineer in Training with APEGA or certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist with ASET is an asset.
· Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, or active progress toward certification, is an asset.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Demonstrates strong knowledge of project delivery, procurement, contract administration, construction methods, and municipal infrastructure practices.
