Within our Underground Services Practice , we are seeking a Project Engineer in Calgary, AB. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience on major infrastructure or transit projects and possess the professional and interpersonal skills to make a positive impact on our firm and the clients we serve.
Annual Compensation$76,000 – $135,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Project Engineer Essential Functions
Participate in the coordination and delivery of design packages, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, cost targets, and schedule commitments while maintaining alignment with overall project objectives.
Review design submissions from consultants and contractors, providing constructive feedback, identifying risks, and ensuring adherence to applicable standards and specifications.
Contribute to the design change process by evaluating proposed modifications, assessing their impact on cost and schedule, and preparing recommendations for City approval.
Support procurement activities by reviewing and maintaining procurement documentation, including technical specifications, RFP packages, and evaluation criteria, ensuring clarity and completeness for competitive bidding.
Validate contractor progress claims and payment applications by verifying quantities, progress, and compliance with contractual obligations before recommending approval.
Monitor construction progress and performance, identifying deviations from schedule or budget and recommending corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements by conducting audits, reviewing reports, and escalating non

EducationPROJECT ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, systems, or civil engineering or a related discipline.
Qualifications
3–7 years of experience in engineering or construction management, preferably in transit or infrastructure projects.
Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in Alberta.
Strong understanding of Canadian engineering codes, standards, and construction practices.
Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station, or similar).
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem
